Cigarettes, fewer trouble please

The whole Denmark is like a big park with lawn and trees everywhere. It is supposed to be so beautiful and charming. In my own country, there are not so much grass, flowers and various kinds of trees. However, I happen to find that there are quite many cigarettes on the lawn with which I was somewhat shocked. Though in my country, we have less green areas, but lucky they are always clean and hardly have stuff like cigarettes there. I was told that it is because people are not allowed to smoke indoors, so many Danish smoke outside. It’s really a good thing that smoking is banned indoors, so people who don’t smoke won’t suffer from smokers’ behaviors when they are at the office, supermarkets and other indoor places. However, this does not mean smokers won’t cause any problems to the public.

Denmark is such a beautiful place with people aware of their climate responsibility. Maybe I can make a little suggestion to smokers: next time when you smoke, it would be a good idea to throw the end of the cigarettes to the dustbin instead of on the grass. If there is not a wastebin nearby, you can also use paper or some other stuff to keep the cigarettes temporarily, and then drop it when passing by a dustbin. We picked the cigarettes up and throw them to the dustbin nearby, but we are not likely to pick up all the cigarettes on all the lawn in Denmark. So we really hope smokers can pay attention to their own behaviors and take the public interests into consideration. Were all Danish smokers can do this, I believe Denmark can be more attractive and welcoming to tourists and to the citizens. Hope Denmark can be a more and more charming place for both traveling and living.

PS:

To the 24 participants:

Thanks all of you for being SO nice when I was shooting during the trip. It was fun to be around you and I will never forget how brave you all were the whole trip! I hope you're all (except Adrian :-) have arrived safely in your countries! Come to Denmark again one time...and watch MS' website after the 15th of October where we will release the documentary about the trip. Take care all of you!
