the Seven deadly sins..

I must blog about today - it was the strangest day..!

To decrypt it into something a little more familiar (yet far out), here are a few examples of "could-be" reasons for that strange day and feelings that I might or might not have had:

  1. SUPERBIA [PRIDE] in being open to one of our teachers in an email about the incident from yesterday.
  2. AVARITIA [GREED] within, when I wanted my way in the work group, maybe more that I could ask for - I got unreasonably frustrated, I think, when people stopped listening at some point - but I guess they did it for a reason. Was I not making sense? And I'm sorry, but what the * is that ekstra teacher still doing in our group *S* I thought she was only there to advice us?! Nevertheless, majority rules and our new "class code of conduct" doesn't seem to appreciate good old Mr. Stubborn - face it! :o)
  3. LUXURIA [LUST] let's just leave that one for now..
  4. INVIDIA [ENVY] well, we all have that sometimes, don't we? I think mine this wednesday was mostly towards all the great ideas that came up for our framing of the final campaign, which basically is just good, but why didn't I come up with them??
  5. GULA [GLUTTONY] not so relevant, but I had to include it because of the post theme, right!? So on my way to school, I by to snack bars I thought it was gonna be a tough day, and guess what - I haven't eaten them yet, they're still in my pocket. Stupid stupid stupid.
  6. ILA [WRATH] when a teacher of ours tried out a "wave-performance" (ref. The Wave http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4689717947890475769# short film from 1981). In the end of a very strong socialistic speach, he tried (even with a reference to Barack Obama-approach) to make us raise our hand and solemny swear to something I can't mention here for several reasons - and some actually did this (not entirely chocking though). The only thing I swear on, right know - and I don't mean swear as in curse - is that I had to laugh, because almost everyone who reads this and know me, also knows that I am everything BUT a socialist. Now, I wasn't angry after this, but I could easily have been, had he not (the teacher) assured me, afterwards, that it was in fact a joke to proof..something, of which I'm still a little in doubt!?..Now remember, this is seen through the eyes of Me..me me me, and you know how I can be (If you know) - but the fact of the stunt remains, and I think it's still worth a thought or two in various aspects, as to what this person wanted to achieve with this.....
  7. ACEDIA [SLOTH] really really "slothy" today - didn't pay attention to a G.D. thing..that's me in a nuts shell sometimes, so nothing new there. Maybe this was actually the reason why the early morning lecture was a bit confusing, and practically went over my head, at some point - it went really fast..

To contra-quote one of the "idols" set up for this course  Marshall Ganz; the points, listed above, mereley represents some of the "powers within (yourself)". These are elements of inner struggles, that good can from (I will show you in a couple of months from now) - in other words (and now it gets a little internal) whether you're campaigning or what..if you sin, never give up - just sin again and sin better, next time! ;o)

I like this blog too, and about the English-level, here you got me using ordbogen.com. :) I actually ended up watching the newer version of The Wave, the German Die Velle, after you mentioned it in class. Very interesting plot. It's a little hard to read your blog because the letters are so light by the way, but maybe it's just something with my computer (or my eyes).
