Adrian Nzamba: A Tanzanian in Denmark
Who am I?
My name is Adrian Rogatus Nzamba and I am 21 years old. I am Tanzanian, born in Dar Es Salaam, where I also live.
From 6 August 2009 I’ll be attending 'Bright green Youth' (BGY) and 'Tackling Climate Responsibly' (TCR) along with the 'New Communicator Course' in Denmark. This means that I will be living in Denmark for about 4-6 months.
I am into learning about new cultures and understanding the dynamics of globalization. Most of all I am into making my world a better place for all people of different races and backgrounds.

My background?
I volunteered on the Children Show in 2001, and advanced to be a presenter in 2002 and lastly I was the radio producer from 2002 to 2005. In 2007 I joined Tanzanian Youth Coalition (TYC), where I am working with Communication Officer and IT. Currently I am also one of the facilitators of the Youth Platforms, a programme organised by TYC and funded by MS Tanzania ActionAid Denmark (MSTZAADK).
I’m on the way to college, but have attended different trainings such as media engagement in advocacy, communication skills and barriers, research methodology, citizen journalism and radio presenting and programming.
Why am I attending the Bright Green Youth Conference?
I think the issues of climate and ways of making the world a better place to all of us, is what made me apply in the first place.
But afterwards I came to realize that I will also participate on other courses, which I am happy with as I want to attain more skills for me to support the youth in my country. I hope the course will make me able communicate with Tanzanian youth and also being able to assist them in different ways. In general, I would like for other youth to benefit from the knowledge that I will be able to attain.
Finally, I also want to learn more from other participants, as I believe they will teach me through their experience from their respectively countries as well.
